I am still loving fun, bright cardigan with a wedding dress, I love it on these bridesmaids as well. I have done a ton of online bridesmaid dress window shopping, Trouwjurken Met Kant went to a few shops with Rich sister, Deb, try on dress, my sister has on a bunch at different stores as well. I found a dress in a color I really liked that also came in various different styles so the girls could pick their favorites, but then I found out the was being discontinued. Boo. Three of my bridesmaids {including my sister} live in Portland, Maine {where I grew up a few minutes from where we are married}, but the other three live in Chicago, LA, Tucson. Help me find classic, vintage inspired (but not costume-y or actually used), work appropriate dresses, skirts and tops. Online okay, Toronto preferred, must ship to Canada and preferably allows returns for cash (not just in store credit).

This past summer has become, as my friends and colleagues termed it, "Elkerette's Summer of the Mad Men Dress." It started so innocently with a really cute dress I found online. Oh! And, just walking through Eaton Centre the other night (and Anthropologie last night), I saw so many stores had retro-inspired dresses featured that I determined that a good investment in them this year would save me years of searching in the future, since that's been my style whether or not it's currently in fashion, and vintage pickings get slimmer every year. I think it was Femme de Carriere that had a particularly nice dress in the window, and I've never once considered shopping there before.

Seconding ModCloth. I was apprehensive about ordering online from a shop that doesn't photograph their clothes on models or reveal much about the original designer/manufacturer*. But I just vloer-length avondjurken ordered a skirt and Love It. Users typically leave comments with information about fit, and the whole thing seems to be set up to allow for easy returns.

*Most ModCloth clothes aren't in-house brands but clothes from third party labels. You can get a lot of the things they carry on other sites, or even in local boutiques.

I am glad I found this topic because my husband thought that smart casual just meant jeans with a collared polo style shirt as long as it was collared it was considered smart casual in his mind lol, now I can tell him he was wrong but it ok because he Sexy Trouwjurken listened to me in the end and is wearing dress pants with a long sleeved collared Lange Cocktailjurken shirt without a tie and some nice business style black shoes. The Patagonia Banda dress is very similar to the one that you linked. I have it in 5 colors and love it. It is of "bathing suit" material, sort of, which turned me off at first, but once you're wearing it, no one notices that it isn't cotton.

I'm also a fan of the Margot dress from Patagonia, which is cotton. It looks great with boots or tights or with nothing on your legs. I have that one in like. 10 colors. I buy it every season in plain or print.

I also recently got one of these wrap dresses from Patagonia. The fit isn't like the Banda or Margot, but it is Cocktailjurken 2012 a nice plain dress.
